From the very beginning, photographers have turned the camera on themselves to create a record of self-portraits with some photographers having made entire careers of picturing themselves. Cell phones have made “selfies” and TikTok videos ubiquitous. In going through my archives, I found that the self-portraits I have made reflect the particular series or techniques I was using at the time.
